The Illinois College softball team was well-represented on the Midwest Conference South Division All-Conference team released Wednesday.
Senior
Erin Rutledge was named MWC South Pitcher of the Year and Head Coach Mark Brayfield was named MWC Coach of the Year. Rutledge, freshman catcher

Paige Cullison were all-conference selections.
Rutledge, a senior from Argenta, posted a record of 6-7 and an ERA of 2.93. She started 10 games and finished all but one of them; she appeared in a total of 21 games. She tallied 48 strikeouts in 90 2/3 innings, while walking only 22 batters. She also batted .283 with two home runs and eight RBIs. She was a two-time MWC Pitcher of the Week during the 2012 season.
Kwasnitza, a freshman from Stonewall, Manitoba, hit. 359 with 21 runs and 11 RBIs. She led the Lady Blues with 37 hits, which included six doubles and a team-high four triples. Kwasnitza also tallied a team-high 13 stolen bases in her freshman campaign. She committed just one error in 30 games and was named MWC Performer of the Week on March 12.
Cullison, a sophomore from Hillsboro, posted a .381 average in 2012, the best among Illinois College regulars. She collected 32 hits in 28 games, scoring a team-high 22 runs and driving in 14 more. She stole 10 bases in 13 attempts and finished the season without an error while splitting time between shortstop and center field.
Illinois College finished the season at 9-22 overall and 5-3 in MWC South play, narrowly missing out on the MWC Tournament.
