By: President Barbara Farley laid out plans on Friday to renovate both the Kamp Softball Field and the Baseball Field during the Fall of 2015.
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Exciting times are just around the corner for the Illinois College baseball and softball programs. School President Barbara Farley announced on Friday that the Board of Trustees has approved the College's proposal for comprehensive improvements to both the Kamp Softball Field and the Baseball Field. These renovations will take place during the Fall of 2015.
While these fields undergo their makeovers, the softball team will continue to call Kamp Softball Field home. Meanwhile, the baseball team will move its 2015 contests and practices off campus, with plans to return home beginning in 2016.
"We are in a wonderful position to make a significant impact on the experiences of the men and women in the baseball and softball programs," said Athletic Director
Mike Snyder. "With the collaborative input of various faculty and staff members, we will certainly be able to construct facilities that will be highly regarded not only in the Midwest Conference, but also nationally. I would like to thank the Board of Trustees and President Farley for understanding the importance of these projects and leading the charge to support the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics."
